Instagram Saved Studio

Purpose

Instagram Saved Studio helps you import saved Instagram posts and collections into a local viewer so you can browse, search, and organize them in your browser.

Data Handled

When you choose Save from the browser extension, it may process:

• Saved Instagram post, reel, and video URLs
• Shortcodes or media identifiers needed to deduplicate saved items
• Captions, thumbnail URLs, collection names, and collection identifiers returned by Instagram web pages
• Resized thumbnail image data created locally to keep your saved-library previews available after Instagram CDN URLs expire
• Folders, notes, favorite markers, and other organization data you create in the viewer
• Your Instagram username or profile image URL when available, only to label the local viewer

Local Storage

The imported library is stored in your browser using browser extension storage and the viewer page's localStorage. Resized thumbnail previews are stored in extension storage and are sent only to the local viewer page when needed for display. This data is not uploaded to our server, sold, shared for advertising, or used to profile you.

Instagram Session

The extension works from an Instagram tab where you are already signed in. It uses the browser's existing Instagram session to request your Saved feed and collections. It does not store your Instagram password, session cookies, or access tokens. The content script may read the Instagram CSRF cookie value only to make same-site requests from the signed-in tab; that value is not stored, logged, or sent to us.

Network Requests

The extension contacts instagram.com and Instagram image CDNs only as needed to import Saved data and fetch thumbnails. The hosted viewer is a static page; imported library data is written to browser localStorage and is not posted to the hosting provider.

Deletion

You can delete imported data by clearing site data for this viewer and extension storage in your browser, or by removing the extension.
